Dear Fellow Alumni, Parents and Friends of Madeira,

Overwhelming Generosity

The generosity of the Madeira Community has been tremendous. We have one of the finest field surfaces in the area and a wonderful electronic scoreboard to complement the field, thanks to all of you! We have more to do.

Finishing the Job

We need $55,000 to complete the project. This phase consists of two new concession stands, secure and attractive new fencing, a new entry way with two spacious ticket booths and handicapped accessible restrooms to serve the public. The improvements will enhance safety and security, enable the athletic boosters to sell more goods, provide better service and improve the beauty of our stadium.

Why Now?

Due in part to the economic conditions, Tom Walter, Madeira alum, parent and local owner of Klotter Builders and Steve Schlagbaum, Madeira parent and Madeira Athletic Boosters trustee, have obtained commitments for donations of supplies and services below market quotes for the construction work on this project. The net result is that Tom and Steve have reduced the price for this project to approximately ONE HALF OF THE EXPECTED COST. We can't afford to wait. And, we need to provide Handicapped accessible restrooms for the public who enjoy this athletic facility.

What Can I Do?

We need cash donations prior to OCTOBER 1, 2009. Donations of any size are welcome and appreciated. Donations of $2007 or above will join the illustrious group who helped make the field turf possible in 2007 and will be recognized on the Monument which will be relocated inside the stadium. Donors of $500 and above will also be recognized on this permanent monument. Donors of amounts below $500 will be recognized in various school publications and on www.madeirastadium. com. Thank you for your donation. We cannot adequately express our gratitude for your help. But we need to finish this project. We are only $55,000 from our final goal. Please see if you can't find a way to add to your donation so that we can FINISH THE JOB before October 1, 2009. The total renovation of the field and the entrance, including new restrooms, will greatly enhance the value of being a resident of Madeira.
